Lineman Appreciation Day: Shedding some light on their behind-the-scenes work

From strapping on 45 pounds of gear and then climbing 50 feet to 250 feet in the air, lineworkers play a behind-the-scenes role in keeping our lights on and homes warm. Sometimes braving the extreme elements and working at all hours of the day.

Lineman Appreciation Day is a time for us to shed some light on them and say thank you for their everyday efforts. Check out the gear Basin Electric lineworkers wear to do their job safely.

Basin Electric’s linemen work on both wood and steel structures. Learn about the different climbing gear for each structure.

We’re not the only ones who think linemen rock. Check out our blog post “Children at West River Electric have a special message for their parents.”
