When Nicole Perreault, Basin Electric multimedia specialist II and Missouri Valley Family YMCA Zumba instructor, helped put on the 2012 Get Your Green On! Zumbathon, she never thought she’d get national attention.

But the March 2013 issue of Ladies’ Home Journal is giving her just that… a whole page to tell her story.

Perreault says a photo editor for the magazine saw some of the photos from the Zumbathon online and called the Y. When a writer got in contact with Perreault, she said a lot of the conversation focused on what she was wearing in the photos. “She was really intrigued on where we got the green tutus and where I got the green headband. She was so obsessed with my outfit.” Watch the video.

But Perreault was really happy she was able to tell the story of why she was part of the Zumbathon and why the fundraising was so important: the St. Baldrick’s Foundation and the Y’s Strong Kids Campaign.
