Several Dakota Gasification Company employees participated in an Industry Career Panel held at Beulah Middle School. Randy Zimmerman, network security analyst, Jim Pulver, field technician, Sean Senske, field technician, Ryan Ahlschlager, field technician, and Pat Usselman, supervisor of shift maintenance, answered questions for inquisitive eighth graders looking for a career path.
Participants shared the ins and outs of their career with students offering information about their schooling, daily job routines and benefits, and a bit of advice.
And on Feb. 1, Hazen and Beulah eighth-grade students followed a parent or friend around the Synfuels Plant to learn what their daily job routines entailed. Eleven students were on site and spent time with engineers, information services and telecommunications maintenance and process operations employees.
