Since the earliest days of the civilization, people have depended on surveyors to resolve questions of land boundaries and provide the framework for the building of infrastructure.
March 15-21 2020 was Surveyors Week in North Dakota and Basin Electric Land Surveyor Robert Kohler, along with other land surveyors and surveying students were recognized by North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum.
Robert Kohler is the only registered land surveyor in the cooperative. He is certified in North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Wyoming. Professional surveyors provide important services through the use of sophisticated equipment and techniques, such as satellite-borne remote sensing devices and automated positioning, measuring, recording, and plotting equipment.
