The Next Greatest Thing

Today’s generation will never know what it was like to live in a world without electricity.  Most of us have never experienced education without the assistance of computers. Most of us don’t know what it’s like to live in a home without lights. Would we want it any other way?

The publication, The Next Greatest Thing, dives into the history of electrifying the rural part of the United States.

Since October is National Co-op Month, it seems appropriate for our #ThrowbackThursday posts to reflect on a few of the interesting things that happened on the way to rural electrification.

So hang on for some fun stories! #ThrowbackThursday will take a look into the nitty gritty of electricity’s influence.
