The Christmas traditions at Basin Electric are our most favorite activities during the holiday season.
The Sharing Trees across Basin Electric’s facilities show just how generous employees are. All together, employees donated more than 300 gifts to kids and families throughout our communities.
Through the Kali Grace & Minnie Mouse Toy Drive, employees also gave toys for kids in the hospital. The drive helps keep Kali’s memory alive. Kali lost her battle to cancer and her parents continue to honor her each year through the toy drive.
New this year was the event, “Cookies, Cocoa, and Christmas Cheer,” with more than 60 children at the Welcome House and who are in the after school program through the Salvation Army. The kids were able to enjoy a Christmas party and get a photo with Santa.
The Co-op Army was also established this year. For one full day, co-op employees from cooperatives across Bismarck-Mandan rang bells at all locations to help raise money for the Salvation Army Kettle Bell campaign.
Have a safe and Merry Christmas!
