United Way of Campbell County’s third annual Helping Hands Day was held Aug. 12 in Gillette, WY. Every year, volunteers from across the community unite to work on projects for local nonprofit organizations, individuals and families.

This year, eight Basin Electric employees from Dry Fork Station volunteered their time as part of the event to help at the Senior Center and stain a fence at the Master Community Garden.

Ashley Fraser, senior safety coordinator, helped Jean Fichter, administrative assistant II, coordinate the effort and helped recruit volunteers. Fraser has been volunteering for United Way for more than 10 years.

“I believe it is a great opportunity to meet new people and help keep our community clean,” Fraser says.
