What does Brave the Shave mean to you?

Guns n Hoses 2016

Guns n’ Hoses event for Brave the Shave, March 8.

Brave the Shave is the region’s largest childhood cancer fundraiser on a mission to help kids with cancer.

Nine years ago, the goal was to raise $10,000 and shave five willing heads as part of Brave the Shave’s first annual event. Area organizations, schools, citizens, and kids not only accepted that challenge and accomplished that mission, they blew it away and have continued to set the bar higher for each successive year’s campaign.

Since 2008 Brave the Shave has raised nearly $2 million for childhood cancer and more than 1,900 people have shaved their heads in to show support of kids with cancer.

For eight years we’ve been making a difference and we’re not stopping there. We’ll keep fighting until these kids don’t have to.

As we’ve been sharing Brave the Shave stories this year, we’re asking, “What does Brave the Shave mean to you?” Watch the video to hear answers from supporters.
