Brent Wetzel, NISC report writer consultant, and Jeremy Woeste, Basin Electric member media coordinator, will both go bald for the seventh time March 13 at Basin Electric’s Brave the Shave flagship event.
“It’s all about the kids. They shouldn’t have to suffer through this terrible disease. They should be in school, playing sports, playing with other kids, and having fun with their family, instead of having to spend it in hospitals. The least I can do is shave my head and raise some money for them,” Wetzel says.
Because Wetzel and Woeste are so passionate about fighting kids’ cancer, they’ve supported the campaign in another way – by organizing the Brave the Shave auction for the past three years. With more than 160 items, Woeste says this year’s auction is bigger and better than ever. “The auction is an opportunity to show your support without having to shave your head,” Woeste says. “You can donate an item or bid on some great stuff, all while raising money for a great cause.”
Some interesting items in the auction include: Minnesota Twins ticket package vs. Detroit Tigers, 15 tons of gravel, $500 Delta Airline Vouchers, a 47″ TV, a gun safe, and lots of gift certificates, gift baskets and much more. View and bid on items at http://www.32auctions.com/BraveTheShave2015. New items are still being added daily!
Several themed gift baskets were added to the auction last week after employees at MDU Resources held a basket challenge. The 18 baskets are valued at more than $2,000.
