Employees at Dry Fork Station spread holiday cheer to 11 children

Eleven underpriviledged children will have gifts under the Christmas tree, thanks to employees at Basin Electric’s Dry Fork Station, near Gillette, WY.

Forty employees – almost half of the 85 employees – at Dry Fork Station adopted two families with a total of 11 children. Each child’s gift requests was divided out and put on Dry Fork Station’s tree, giving employees an opportunity to purchase gifts.

“This is the first year we did a Secret Santa tree,” Heidi Hockett, Basin Electric project coordinator, says. “Each child received warm clothes and an equal amount of toys. We all feel very fortunate for our health and jobs and wanted to make Christmas special for the families in need. It was a great experience and we anticipate doing it again.”
