Four employees with Basin Electric’s facilities division are braving the bitter cold to ready the Headquarters campus for upcoming holiday cheer.
Bruce Ellwein, Darrell Schulz, Kyle Opp, and Jim Tosseth strung almost 1,500 feet of lights on 20 trees around the Headquarters campus.
Ellwein, lead maintenance at Basin Electric, says it takes six to seven work days for this project. Even though the lights aren’t put on the trees until this time of the year, prep work is done in the summer to make sure the lights are operational for their big winter debut. Student workers go through the lights one by one and replace bulbs.
The lights on the trees will be turned on this Friday, Nov. 21, during Basin Electric’s third annual tree lighting ceremony.
