Little Black Dress campaign for United Way

Ellen Holt, Mary Miller, Sharon Lipetzsky and Shawn Deisz join the ‘Little Black Dress’ campaign.

Missouri Slope Areawide United Way’s Women’s Leadership Circle is leading a poverty awareness campaign Nov. 17-21, during which more than 65 women are wearing black dresses or outfits for five days. Their goal is to raise $500 each.

In addition to poverty, the campaign spreads awareness on the barriers women face in trying to find work.

The following Basin Electric team members are fundraising: Ellen Holt, vice president of Human Resources, Mary Miller, manager of Communications, Sharon Lipetzky, manager of rates and revenue, and Shawn Deisz, vice president and controller. You can help them reach their goals. Just click on their names for the fundraising page.

The campaign’s official hashtag is #LittleBlackDress.
