The North Dakota Heritage Center was buzzing with energy and excitement last night. Approximately 800 Basin Electric members, employees and special guests filled the halls and galleries of the recently expanded North Dakota Heritage Center, as they gathered for the pre-Annual Meeting reception.
With an ancient mastadon serving as the backdrop, Mike Eggl Basin Electric senior vice president of Communications and Administration, greeted guests. From there, it was a night of laughter and conversation.
Attendees got one of the first glimpses of the new Touchstone Energy Cooperatives Governors Gallery and its first exhibit: the Power of Human Connections. The Governor’s Gallery is one of four new galleries included in the Heritage Center’s recently completed $52-million expansion and renovation. Basin Electric and other North Dakota Touchstone Energy cooperatives donated a collective $1.3 million in support of the 97,000-square-foot expansion and renovation of North Dakota’s state museum.
