The annual SAKT (St. Alexius Kickball Tournament) was held Sept. 27 in Bismarck, ND. The tournament raised more than $42,000 that will go toward new technology and to upgrade the NICU (neonatal intensive care unit) into a more aesthetically-pleasing environment for the hospital‘s littlest patients and their families.
Basin Electric teams had two of the top three individual fundraisers, one being an employee. James Decker, hardware maintenance technician, raised more than $1,100. His team, Playground Powerhouse, finished the day with three wins and a tie.
Employees who were also playing for Playground Powerhouse were Nathan Seiler, hardware maintenance assistant, Chris Gessele, staff writer, Kimberly Miller, senior business analyst, Brock Schmeets, help desk coordinator I, Jackie Stromme, employment recruiter, and Will Spooner, enterprise system administrator II.
Chris Vizenor, associate business analyst, and his team, Roll On Down, lost in the round robin portion of the tournament to a team that took second place overall. His team included Brian Gardner, generation/load quantitative analyst II, Merrill Hirchert, distributed generation/service dispatcher, and Michael Nesmith, real time trader III.

The team included Casey Jacobson, senior staff counsel, Annie Lambert, attorney I, Chad Kuntz, senior electrical engineer, Trent Schwan, electrical engineer III, Erin Huntimer, project coordinations representative, and Adam Wallace, electrical engineer III.
