“Smile wide every day.” This was Ali Borgen’s motto throughout her four year battle with leukemia. It reflected her positive spirit and eagerness to be brave. We will always remember Ali, one of St. Baldrick’s Brave the Shave angels.
Today, her smile lives on through Smiles From Ali, an organization that is sharing smiles with children who have cancer or a chronic or life-threatening illness. The Smiley Buckets that are given out to these children are packed with items including art/craft supplies, card games, lip balm, nail polish, dolls, cars, gift cards and other fun items.
Last month, Basin Electric donated doodle pads to include in the Smiley Buckets.
Pass the smile on. If you know of a local child battling an illness, or would like to donate items, email email@example.com.
