Walk by Basin’s Backyard Garden today and it’s hard to imagine that just three months ago it was home to only grass. Now the 26 foot by 70 foot plot is overflowing with twenty different crops.
But the cooperative garden is producing more than just fresh veggies. Throughout the season it has sprouted several different opportunities:
It’s enabling coworkers to grow in their relationships. Watch the videos to find out why this is important to these garden volunteers.
Employees’ family members are even getting involved.
It’s offering a chance to give back to the community. So far, three donations of fresh produce have been given to the Hunger Free ND Garden Project.
And it’s helping employees understand the cooperative way.
