Anything of which you’re particularly proud?
I have worked in many mentorship roles throughout my career. Helping someone see the potential in themselves is completely rewarding.

What advice would you offer other young professionals?
Follow your dreams and trust your gut instincts along the way. Do not ever let anyone else make you feel that you are unable to reach a goal or succeed.

What do you see yourself doing in 10 years?
Continuing to work in Human Resources at DGC.

What is the biggest risk you’ve ever taken?
I am a bit of an adrenaline junkie; in early adulthood I enjoyed bungee jumping and skydiving the most. Career-wise one of my biggest risks was accepting a leadership role for a military mission in Mauritania. Mauritania is a Muslim country, where leadership roles are not typically held by women.

What advice would you offer other young professionals?
Apply yourself fully to every task; whether it is writing a thank you note or preparing a presentation for the Board of Directors. You will never regret giving it your all, strive for continuous improvement. Also, don’t be afraid to hold yourself and others to a high standard and don’t accept less than your expectations, but do assist others in meeting your expectations.
