Sioux Valley Energy, a Basin Electric Class C member in Colman, SD, celebrated their 75th anniversary with about 1,100 member-owners on June 3.
Carrie Law, Sioux Valley director of Communications and Government Relations, says the event was a blast, even though the rain was a bummer. “What a great night for Sioux Valley Energy. It may have been rainy, but that didn’t stop us from celebrating 75 years of serving electricity to members,” Law says. “A few years ago we decided to combine our annual meeting with a member appreciation event. That tends to draw in a wide variety of people — all different ages. We are already gearing up for next year.”
The Crevier Family Show was also at the event, which has been featured on America’s Got Talent for their Spin-tacular Basketball Show. Arch Allies, a tribute band to Styx, Journey, and REO, played at the event.
