Brave the Shave 2014: Brookings County

Deer Creek Station, along with South Dakota State University’s Sigma Lambda Chi Construction Management Honor Society teamed up to brave the shave March 28. The event was held at the Brookings County Fire Department. This was Brookings County’s third year participating in St. Baldrick’s. They had a total of 33 shavees, and raised more than $10,000. A big hit at the event was a raffle drawing for a gun. They sold 750 tickets and raised more than $5,940 from that alone!

Three teams joined in on this year’s shaving: Deer Creek, Dakotaland Federal Credit Union and Brookings Fire Department. There were also other groups that joined in the day of and signed up individually.
