Heartview Foundation, a non-profit organization located in Bismarck, ND, is hoping to expand their services and Basin Electric has stepped in to help. The cooperative is donating $150,000 over three years to Heartview’s “50 Years of Hope” capital campaign. The campaign is in response to the growing population and demand for substance abuse treatment in western North Dakota.
Sonja Bosch, Basin Electric associate contract administrator, is a recovery coach for Heartview and serves on the Heartview Campaign Committee. Bosch had the opportunity to present Basin Electric’s donation to Heartview. “It was a surreal experience to deliver the check to an organization that has saved and changed my life. I know this donation will help give so many people what they need – which is hope,” Bosch says.
Donations to the campaign will help Heartview purchase the building next door to them and provide support for more patients. Bosch says the expansion should cut down on their current wait-list. “The donation will help so that people won’t have to wait two or three weeks to get in. This is important because when someone wants help they need it now.” Bosch says.
