Jeremy Woeste, Basin Electric communications and media specialist, traveled to New York in September to be featured in an Insanity® infomercial.
In May 2012, Woeste noticed the number on the scale was rising. He had also been reminded by blood tests that his cholesterol and triglyceride levels were elevated, which was a problem since his family has a history of heart disease. “I feared not being there for my family one day. Nothing means more to me than my family and I knew in order to share their life milestones and accomplishments, I needed to take control of my health before it was too late,” Woeste says.
Woeste was encouraged to try Insanity, a DVD workout program produced by Beachbody. After the first round of 12 weeks, Woeste lost 32 pounds. He has since continued with the program and has not only achieved his goals, he has well surpassed them. Woeste lost a total of 57 pounds in just seven months and his cholesterol and triglycerides are now in the healthy range.
When it came to filming the testimonial, Woeste says he is not quite sure if reality ever sunk in. “On the set I thought that it was crazy how far I had come. But what was even crazier was how many times I said ‘no’ to improving my life. The truth is I was stubborn, scared of change and afraid I would fail.”
Woeste’s family was and continues to be his motivation. “I knew my family deserved nothing less than my best effort, so I can be there for them when they need me,” Woeste says.
Woeste’s transformation and experience with Insanity inspired him to coach others. He says he is committed to helping people achieve real results like his. “I understand first-hand what it is like to struggle with weight issues, and as a parent, I know first-hand what it is like to try to balance family, work and health.”
