Basin Electric is setting the bar higher this year – with high-definition, that is.

Part of what helps the co-op best serve people during some of its most highly attended annual events is its ability to constantly grow with advanced technologies. This year, that means taking things up a notch with the big screen.

Basin Electric brought crisp, clear video to its members during Norsk Høstfest in Minot, ND, earlier this month. And with the co-op’s Annual Meeting set to take place Nov. 5-7 at the Bismarck Civic Center (ND), co-op staff members are making sure exceptional quality sticks around.

In recent years, much of the world has grown accustomed to viewing TV content in high-definition (HD). Basin Electric wants its members to experience similar visual quality during co-op events.

“We want to make sure we give our members the best possible product,” says Greg Wheeler, multimedia specialist III.

Wheeler says advancing technologies have made the move to HD more cost effective than ever. Basin Electric is ahead of the curve as one of the first in the region to offer live event production in HD.

With colorful and informative video presentations, a performance by musical group Cassie and the Bobs, and many other features on the agenda for this year’s annual meeting, Basin Electric’s new HD equipment will help folks best see the impact the co-op has on the lives of those it serves.

The video shows a quick clip of the HD projected during the Marty Stuart band’s performance at Norsk Høstfest.
