Dr. Steve Benson is president of Microbeam Technologies, Inc. and a professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of North Dakota. Every day he sees the importance of research in energy industry to meet a global challenge.

“One of my passions is doing research in an area that meets a key challenge to humanity. We need to come up with 30 to 50 terawatts of electricity or power or energy in the next 50 years. And that is going to be a huge challenge globally,” he says.
