Basin Electric employee on family connection to OK tornado (Video)

Give More to MooreEven though DeDe Gebeke, BTInet systems administrator II, grew up in Oklahoma amongst constant tornado warnings, what happened on May 20 was a shock.

Her brothers live in Moore, OK, where an EF5 tornado tore through town.

Basin Electric employees raised more than $16,000 in a week to aid Oklahoma cooperatives whose members were decimated by the tornado.

As part of the campaign, Basin Electric Headquarters employees had the option to join “Ok Jeans for OK,” where employees could donate to the Touchstone Energy Oklahoma Relief Fund to wear jeans Monday-Thursdays until Labor Day. To take part, employees were asked to donate $130 or more to the Touchstone Energy Oklahoma Relief Fund to help fellow cooperative members and employees.
