Plant workers examined, back home after Laramie River fire

All three Laramie River Station employees who were examined at a burn center this week after a fire started at the power plant are now home

Three employees suffered injuries and were transported to the Platte County Memorial Hospital for further evaluation. They were later examined at the North Colorado Medical Center Western States Burn Center in Greeley, CO. Two of the employees were released immediately, and one employee stayed in the burn center until Monday. All are recuperating at home.

The burns occurred in an attempt to address a fire at the power plant, which started at around 6 a.m. May 19 in one of the plant’s dust collection hoppers.

An investigation into the fire continues.
