Did you know? Teachers learn a lot during summer tours (Video)

The Lignite Energy Council‘s annual Lignite Education Seminar is one of the best ways around to learn about how the state uses lignite coal to produce energy.

This year, the seminar will be held June 17-20 at Bismarck (ND) State College. One of the days will be spent touring power plants, the Great Plains Synfuels Plant, and a coal mine. See video from last year’s tour: Meet two teachers on Lignite Energy Council tour (Video)

Teachers can register on Basin Electric’s website: LEC Teachers Seminar registration. The cost of the seminar and travel to it will be paid by Basin Electric for South Dakota, Minnesota, Montana and Iowa teachers within our member service territory.
