Centennial Elementary Hat Day for St. Baldrick’s

The official St. Baldrick’s celebration in Bismarck will be held three weeks from today. But Centennial Elementary School kids found a fun way to raise some money for children’s cancer research a little early.

On Feb. 21, the school held a Hat Day for St. Baldrick’s. If they contributed a dollar, they could wear their favorite hat for a day.

Yesterday the school raised $171.85! Watch the video to hear from some students and Sharon Maas, the student council advisor.

Centennial Elementary’s donation went to the Basin Electric Brave the Shave campaign.

You can form your own team (or join another) if you’d like to shave your head or cut your hair for St. Baldrick’s.
