Jessica Unruh, environmental specialist for The Coteau Properties Co. at the Freedom Mine near Beulah, ND, raised her right hand to take the oath of office this week.
Unruh was chosen to replace Randy Christmann in the North Dakota Senate. Christmann was elected to the North Dakota Public Service Commission in November. Read the Associated Press story: Unruh gets Christmann’s N.D. Senate seat
Unruh may look familiar to Basin Electric members because she served as a tour guide at the Freedom Mine in 2006, and still gives tours as part of the tour team. She also volunteers in The Coteau Properties Co. booth during Basin Electric Annual Meeting.
