Iowa lineworkers practice safe pole climbing

Thanks to bucket trucks, Northwest Iowa Power Cooperative lineworkers don’t need to climb poles very often.

But there is that once or twice a year when a bucket truck can’t get close enough to the pole that needs maintenance. That’s why the Basin Electric Class A member’s lineworkers go through a pole climbing exercise every year.
