Sneak peek inside the North Dakota Heritage Center Expansion project

More than three years ago, Basin Electric committed to the preservation of North Dakota history through a project to expand the state’s museum. The cooperative was one of the lead business contributors to the 97,000 square foot expansion of the North Dakota Heritage Center through $250,000 monetary and $250,000 in-kind donations. Read Basin Electric commitment to ND Historical Society.

Three years later, on Feb. 17 Basin Electric staff was given a sneak peak at the construction evolution of the new Heritage Center space. In the video Claudia Berg, State Historical Society of North Dakota expansions and new initiatives coordinator, takes us through the new working archives space and current construction of the collection storage spaces.

When the galleries above the collection spaces are finished, the new exhibits will more thoroughly tell the story of North Dakota and its emerging industries – coal, gas, wind power, agriculture processing, manufacturing and technology and so much more.
