Big wrench tightens last bolts on Deer Creek Station generator

“You’re not gonna find this one on the shelf at Sears.”

Matt Ehrman, mechanical engineer on site at Deer Creek Station, is talking about the 75mm wrench being used the tighten bolts on the base of the steam generator at Deer Creek Station. Watch the video to see the last bolts being turned.

Les Diffin, millwright foreman for Boldt Construction, the contractor building Deer Creek Station, says the wrench was included with the “special tools” that came with the generator and turbine, which were rough set in August.
