Generator is rough set at Deer Creek Station

On the turbine/generator pedestal at Deer Creek Station. The steam generator is being rough set.

On Aug. 3, the steam generator was “rough set” into place at the Deer Creek Station. (To see the generator first lifted onto its pedestal: Steam generated lifted onto pedestal at Deer Creek Station)

The generator was lifted by a gantry system, moved on rails and then lowered into position. Matt Ehrman, Basin Electric mechanical engineer on site, tells us what’s happening throughout the video below.

Sections of the steam turbine are next to be set on the pedestal. Watch for video of that in the coming weeks.
