Final turbine topped out at Crow Lake Wind Project

This afternoon just before 3:00, the 108th turbine for the Crow Lake Wind Project was topped out. This is the last turbine to be erected in the $363-million project. Construction began on this project on Oct. 5, 2010.

Even though the last turbine has been erected, that doesn’t mean it’s operational. Watch tomorrow for more on the project.

  1. Will you be doing a follow up story? You do say “Watch tomorrow for more on the project.” Thanks!

Thanks for pointing that out! Will post something today. Also, we’ll have a very cool look at topping out a wind turbine, told by the crew themselves. We may have that ready to release next week.
