Some of the teams have signed up for the past three years; some of the teams are new. They’re all raising money for an excellent cause — childhood cancer research.
Some members of our communications group headed out to Amplatz Children’s Hospital at the University of Minnesota to interview a couple doctors who’ve received money from the St. Baldrick’s Foundation for their research.
Dr. Heather Stefanski and Dr. Troy Lund are doing research specifically on bone marrow transplants: how to make the transplant “take” more quickly, and how to help the child’s immune system recover more quickly after a transplant.
