Basin Electric employee and kids recruit for St. Baldrick’s

Chad Heck works as a senior systems administrator at Basin Electric, and on the side, he coaches junior high soccer in Mandan.

When his five-year-old daughter, Aubrey, told him she wanted to donate her hair during St. Baldrick’s events, and his three-year-old son, Dominick, said he wanted to shave with his dad, Heck started thinking bigger. Since he grew up in Mandan, and used to coach varsity boys soccer there, maybe he could get some of the high schoolers to join a team?

So he started the Shave the Braves team. And though he’s already raised $2,725 himself, he still hasn’t had any students sign up.
