“On Monday, you see these riders come in, some of them are scared to death, they don’t know what to expect. … On Friday, when they’re outside riding, you really can’t put it into words. It’s something you have to see to believe. It’s incredible.” – Kevin Crenshaw, Lose The Training Wheels

It’s your chance to help someone learn to ride bike!
Designer Genes of North Dakota is bringing a new camp to Bismarck. From Aug. 6-10, volunteers will teach participants to ride bike at the Lose The Training Wheels Bike Camp.
Basin Electric is forming a team to be spotters that week from 9:50 a.m. – 11:20 a.m. Please think about volunteering and also sharing this message with friends. This isn’t limited to Basin Electric employees!
Wanna be a part of this? Contact Jen Holen, Basin Electric charitable giving coordinator, at jholen@bepc.com or 223-0441.
Not sure? Watch this video, produced in Arlington, VA, at a Lose The Training Wheels camp there. It’ll give you a better idea of what you’ll be doing.
Please note:
- You must be 16 years of age or older to be a spotter.
- If you can’t come all five days, think about coming two or three days, or team up with a co-worker and split the week!
- Basin Electric employees don’t need to take vacation time, just need to get their supervisor’s approval.
