Basin Electric employee shows world champion horse

Alexander Alejandro, a yearling Pinto Half-Arabian colt owned by Mark and Joanna Fischer of Mandan, ND, was the World Champion victor at the 2012 World Championship Pinto Horse Show in Tulsa, OK.

“Alex,” for short, who was bred and trained by the Fischer family in Mandan, competed at the championship show along with 1,000 other entries from across the nation. Alex was judged on confirmation and quality as a breed representative. Alex was presented by Mark in both the amateur and open divisions, culminating in the highest honors.

Alex is now preparing for competition at the Canadian National Championship Arabian and Half-Arabian show in Brandon, Manitoba, in August. Mark is a service dispatcher at Basin Electric Headquarters.
