Nudging moose along at the Great Plains Synfuels Plant

Rare visitors.

Two moose visited the Great Plains Synfuels Plant for about two hours June 28.

Mark Schaper, process operations field technician, spotted them about 7 a.m. while conducting his routine rounds in the pond area.

Duane Sayler, process operations supervisor, took a snapshot of the two as he and Shawn Bornemann, process operations field technician, gently nudged the moose toward the railroad track gate, where they exited the plant and continued on their way.

Protection Services opened the railroad track gate to make for an easy exit point for the two moose.
