The 4-H Building in Wheatland, WY, took on a Mardi Gras flavor for the second annual Cajun Night fundraiser, hosted on Feb. 26 by the Platte County Memorial Hospital and Nursing Home Foundation.
The gold, green and purple event drew in approximately 250 people and raised $5,000 for the foundation. Take a look at the event in the video.
The Missouri Basin Power Project, a group of six electric utilities including Basin Electric that own the Laramie River Station near Wheatland, donated a 32-inch flat screen television to be raffled off at the event.
Kathy Jones, community relations for Missouri Basin Power Project, said, “We really love helping out with this event. Basin Electric designed all the posters and tickets, and our office did all the advertising as well as the marketing, planning with the board, and putting on the event.” Jones also serves as the secretary/treasurer for the Foundation Board.
