How Boldt Construction begins their day at Deer Creek Station

“Now wrists! 1 … 2 … 3 … 4 …”

We didn’t expect to see this at Deer Creek Station at 8:00 a.m. — the crews of Boldt Construction standing in a group, doing stretches!

Gary Roemhildt, carpenter foreman for Boldt Construction, leads safety stretches at the beginning of the work day. He says the daily routine is meant to prevent strains on the job. Watch the video to see what they do.

Boldt Construction is a contractor working on Basin Electric’s Deer Creek Station, a combined cycle power plant under construction in Brookings County, SD.
