The premise of the campaign is to motivate co-op members to take small energy-saving steps that can result in big savings on their energy bill.
Traditional media – television, radio, print, billboard and other materials – is being used to drive consumers to visit www.togetherwesave.com.
The site demonstrates to consumers that their cooperative is looking out for them. It contains how-to videos, many online tools and energy calculators. Consumers can calculate how much money they can save on their own energy bill. The information comes straight from their local Touchstone Energy cooperative when they enter their zip code on the welcome page of the site.
Dennis Gad, member media coordinator, serves on the national Touchstone Energy Strategic Communications Committee and is a regional G&T representative for Touchstone Energy. “The campaign is intended to show consumers how they can take responsibility in lowering their energy costs and to motivate them to take action by showing them the amount of dollars they can save,” Gad said.
