Sound the trumpets; roll out the red carpet! Basin Electric’s entry in PRIDE Inc.’s Celebration of Trees has received an Honorable Mention as one of the top 10 trees in the event.

A shout-out to the Comm Department women who picked the theme and ran with it: Jen Swanson, Andrea Blowers, Tracie Bettenhausen, and especially Julie Slag. Julie runs a double life this time of year as a professional tree decorator, and she exercised her masterful skills on our tree.
Thank you to everyone who voted for the tree. Jen Swanson and I attended the Celebration of Trees luncheon yesterday and learned that not only do these trees get to grace the homes of needy families in the area, they also are given to pediatric cancer patients through the Make A Wish Foundation. Trees like Basin’s are touching lives in ways we may never know. So thanks again to everyone for their work and their votes. You did a good thing!
